Maxi's makes inroads with new store design

Since the launch of the new store image in June 2007, Maxi's have revamped 3 existing strategic sites, namely Menlyn, Jakaranda and Alberton City. Another 3 revamps are planned before the end of Feb 2008. Maxi's will also have 5 new stores in the sexy new image before the end of February 2008.

Maxi's Celebrates with the Kids

Maxi's recently announced that they would be launching every mother's dream - organised kiddies parties that will make their child feel like the life of the party.

"We've always been a family brand but we thought it was about high time that we did something more for our Mini Maxi's customers," says Christo Calitz, managing director of Maxi's. "We already have a special kiddies menu in place but we felt that we needed to become more involved and what better way than to celebrate their special milestones with them."

As such the Mini Maxi's Kids party packs and birthday parties were introduced. Moms and dads no longer have to worry about the important things such as venues and invitations as Maxi's have thought of it all and more.

"The whole point of getting involved was to not only get to know our customers better but to show the parents that we care just as much as they do about hosting an event that their little ones will remember," says Christo.

The party packs include a kiddies meal with a choice of 8 different meals including soda/juice/shake or float, and lucky packet surprise for all guests. Also included is a Mini Maxi's chefs hat, apron and balloon for each child - a complete party package. Moms get supplied with invites for the party before the event, so every detail is taken care of.

"The best part of the party seems to be the Birthday Chef hat that the birthday boy or girl receives. Who really wants a normal party hat?" chuckles Christo. "And their guests each receive their own Mini Maxi's apron so that they aren't left out of the fun either."

Maxi's have been a part of the South African food franchise industry since 1993 and are celebrating their own 14th birthday this October.

There is no doubt that Maxi's certainly know how to throw a party and that any child will be the talk of their school if they get to host their own Mini Maxi's party. So kids what are you waiting for? Get your parents to contact your local Maxi's today to plan and host your special day.

"I love birthdays and I love celebrating them with friends and family. We intend to make our 14th birthday a big celebration next month and want to do the same with all our mini customers," concludes Christo.
